![]() ![]() This is probably affecting people on lower difficulties more so since they are used to a more casual experience breezing through most combat so this ends up being a particularly jarring experience for them.To see this content please enable targeting cookies. The fight is likely pretty close to well balanced, but they might want to have a reminder tutorial about inspecting abilities for this fight so people don't get surprised. ![]() This results in people getting blindsided by fights that have more specific mechanics involved. You can actually look at the talents, skills, and spells on any enemy, but this is probably the first fight that it is really meaningful to do so (barring maybe checking spellcaster spell lists on the hard difficulty). I think the biggest issue is you have all the information needed to make the fight fairly simple if you inspect him and look at his abilities and buffs, but many people probably forget about the ability to do this since its so unnecessary most of the time. Just remember to bring alot of different weapons. One that should be reasonably doable in the 10+ turns you get. This way makes this fight a dps race if anything. If hes allowed to maneuver you're done for since dodging anything is meaningless if he can switch positions. ![]() That means having 4 character standing up close. ![]() Apart from that its a MUST to enclose him from all sides so hes not allowed to move. Characters hit by this have a big red marker practiclly screaming "I will fall asleep next turn" move these diagonally from him so he cant attack them. The trick to dodging his large AoE attack has to do with his sleep debuff. * The return damage based of the buff he has. Which very rarely kills a character from full health. Its that its mechanic are terribly explained to new players. But that doesnt mean the fight itself is to hard. Is it still a bad fight for new players? Absolutely. * its almost impossible for your characters to die if you know what youre doing. Yeah im going to be the advocator bad news here and say the following. ![]()
